The town of Le Piastre is found 800m above sea level, 15 minutes from the Firenze Mare A11 highway (Pistoia exit) and about 40 minutes from Florence, 30 minutes from Lucca and 60 minutes from both Pisa and Siena. It is therefore possible, with short car trips, to visit the major historical cities all in one day and enjoy the treasures of Tuscany. It is also possible to visit the old ice factories found in Le Piastre along the Reno River, recently reclaimed and restored to their original condition by the mountain community. Main distances:
